Your responsibilities as an EDI Consultant (f/m/d)

As an EDI Consultant, you lead the implementation of standard Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations between SupplyOn’s SaaS platform and our clients’ trading partners. In this full-time, permanent position you’ll master digital integration using formats like EDIFACT, XML, or ANSI X12, onboard partners smoothly,  and adopt emerging AI tools to enhance efficiency and troubleshooting.
  • EDI Integration: Implement EDI integrations, mappings and data flows for orders, ASNs, invoices and more, adhering to standardized formats and client-specific validation rules. Build the flow.
  • Testing & Go-Live Support: Orchestrate partner testing, validate message accuracy and ensure readiness for go-live. Validate message syntax, routing & booking and troubleshoot issues.
  • Supplier Coordination: Act as the main contact for supplier technical teams, assist in integration-related queries and help resolve issues during both test and production phases.
  • Technology Evolution: Stay up to date with integration trends. Contribute to future shifts in B2B data exchange, e.g. towards API-based integrations.
  • AI-Assistance: Utilize emerging intelligent automation tools for tasks like mapping validation, error analysis, and documentation. Help shape how AI can improve EDI integration projects.

What sets you apart as an EDI Consultant (f/m/d)

  • EDI Expertise: At least 2 years’ experience in EDI integration between IT/business environments. Familiar with standards like EDIFACT, XML, and EDI middleware (e.g., Seeburger BIS, SAP PI).
  • Technical Know-how: Comfortable with communication protocols (AS2, OFTP2, HTTPS, FTP) EDI message structures and data mapping. ERP and API integration experience is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; German or French is advantageous.
  • Communication & Ownership: Clear communicator with a service-oriented mindset, delivering a positive project experience. Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Tech & AI Affinity: Curious and open to exploring new technologies, particularly digital tools and AI assistants. Previous hands-on AI experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Understanding of supply chain and ERP environments is beneficial.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset, adaptable to change, and enthusiastic about contributing to a positive team environment and continuous improvement.
